Take the super-fast bullet train to Himeji to see two of Japan’s favorite filming locations, Himeji Castle and Mount Shosha. Among other movies, The Last Samurai had several scenes shot in these spots, and they’re beautiful in autumn, specially Mount Shosha, which we access via cablecar. From Himeji we move to Kobe, where we explore Kobe Harborland and Meriken Park, or you have the option to visit Kobe’s Chinatown, the largest such in Japan. We specially recommend this tour in early December so you can catch the Kobe Luminarie lightup event.

If you would like to try Kobe Beef, please let us know in advance so we can make reservations for you either in Himeji or Kobe (it’ll be somewhat cheaper in Himeji, since you can have it for lunch there and lunch sets are cheaper than dinner sets).
